Our 31 SENict Software teaching applications have been carefully designed for young people with severe, complex and profound needs who are developing their ability to interact with the world around them through computers and assistive technology. Each application provides a range of structured activities designed to support the development of specific access, learning and communication skills.
Every application is mapped to our assessment materials and small-steps teaching guides, helping you make baseline assessments, set meaningful targets and monitor the progress of the young people you work with. The materials can be adapted to suit individual learners and your school's own assessment framework.
I've been designing assistive technology software for children and young people with complex needs for nearly 30 years. My work has included designing and helping to develop many of the specialist education software products produced by Inclusive Technology, as well as creating software independently through SENict. Throughout that time, I've worked closely with teachers, therapists and families, using what I've learned in real-world settings to shape the design of the software.
