About Ian
I've worked in special education and assistive technology for nearly 30 years, first as a teacher and later as a software designer, trainer and independent consultant. I've spent much of that time working alongside teachers, therapists and families to find practical ways of using technology to support learning, communication and independence for young people with severe and complex needs.

I created SENict to share the resources and knowledge I've developed over those years, and although I'm now moving into retirement, I plan to keep SENict online and continue adding to it when I have something worthwhile to share.
