I no longer offer 'on-site' school training on a 'per day' basis. Much of this type of training has been moved to the PD Centre of my website to which schools can subscribe, giving their staff opportunities to plan their own CPD targeting the help they need and allowing them to engage with it at a time that best suits them.
Online Training with SENict PD Centre
Many schools and individuals choose to build their skills around teaching with assistive technology using our PD Centre. Subscribers have access to a huge range of training and support materials wihch include over 60 hours videos and recorded webinars covering the use of switches, touch devices, pointing devices and eye gaze systems to support the learning and communication needs of young people with severe and complex additional support needs.
Colleagues can use the PD Centre to target specific gaps in their knowledge or follow one of our guided courses which detail all aspects of teaching with specific technologies. They'll also have access to all of our skills progression documents which detail the process and include level descriptors which you can tailor for specific children or to your school system. All of the activities on our website are designed to support teaching to these level descriptors. In addition to the 600+ activities on the website, PD subscribers can download over 30 subscriber exclusive activities and install them on the computers in their school or classroom.
A PD Centre subscription for your whole school costs just £145.00 per year with payment being made either with an invoice or directly on the website. Subscriptions are also available to individuals for just £23.00 per year. Payment for individual subscriptions must be made on the website. Whichever you choose you'll have immediate access to all of our training and support resources.
